Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), China's electric power industry has made great efforts to solve the problem of clean, low-carbon and safe supply under the fundamental guidance of the new energy security strategy of "four revolutions and one cooperation", and has handed over a fruitful development answer sheet. The power generation equipment manufacturing industry has made remarkable achievements, with an annual production capacity of more than 140 million kilowatts (excluding photovoltaic equipment), and significantly improved supply capacity and quality; The industrial structure has been continuously optimized, the stability of the supply chain of the industrial chain has been constantly improved, and the new energy industry has developed rapidly. The proportion of the output of clean energy power generation equipment (excluding photovoltaic equipment) has increased from 36% in 2012 to 58% in 2021. In this decade, China has made important progress in the green and low-carbon transformation of energy. The installed capacity of renewable energy and the size of coal power ultra-low emission units have exceeded 1 billion kilowatts. The concept of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains" has been deeply rooted in the hearts of people.
Technological innovation helps China's power generation equipment technology to achieve a great leap forward, and power generation technology research and development and equipment manufacturing level to a new level. Millions of kilowatts of air cooling power generation units and large circulating fluidized bed power generation technologies are leading the world. Several ultra supercritical secondary reheat coal power generation units have been put into operation, and the coal consumption for power supply has dropped to below 270g standard coal/kWh. The manufacturing of hydropower equipment is fully leading. Baihetan Hydropower Station, the world's first hydropower station with a single unit capacity of one million kilowatts, the Three Gorges Project, the Gezhouba Project, and the Wudongde, Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba hydropower stations on the Jinsha River together constitute the world's largest clean energy corridor. The wind power generation technology is generally at the international advanced level, and the wind power technologies such as low wind speed and ultra-high altitude rank among the top in the world. The 10 MW offshore wind turbines have begun to be produced in batches. More than 90% of the domestic wind power installations are domestic wind turbines, and the "Made in China" wind turbines account for more than two-thirds of the global market share. The PV industry continues to make breakthroughs in key core technology fields, from being "stuck" to being a global leader. The domestic PV installation scale ranks first in the world, and provides more than 70% of PV modules for the global market. The nuclear power industry system is improving day by day. The comprehensive localization rate of newly built units is close to 90%. The three generation PWR localization brands "Hualong No.1" and "Guohe No.1" with independent intellectual property rights have been formed, and advanced nuclear power technologies such as high-temperature gas cooled reactor, fast reactor and small modular reactor with four generation characteristics have been developed.
1、 Thermal power equipment field
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the level of clean and efficient utilization of coal in China has significantly improved. based on the active research and development of advanced power generation technologies such as ultra supercritical power generation and clean, efficient and low-carbon utilization of coal, the coal consumption rate of power supply in China has dropped to 304.2 g/kWh by September 2022. From 2012 to September 2022, domestic enterprises have produced 317 ultra supercritical generator sets of 600000 to 1 million kilowatts, ranking first in the world.
China leads the world in efficient and flexible secondary reheat power generation technology. Since 2015, the world's first million kilowatt ultra supercritical secondary reheat coal-fired power generation unit - Guodian Taizhou Power Plant Phase II Project Unit 3, the first second reheat, π type furnace million unit - Datang International Leizhou Unit 1, the world's largest ultra supercritical secondary reheat project - Anhui Pingshan Power Plant Phase II Project and other landmark projects have been put into operation.
China has the largest installed capacity of circulating fluidized bed boilers in the world, and the production capacity and technical level of large circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers are leading in the world. From 2012 to September 2022, domestic enterprises have designed and manufactured 93 CFB boilers above 300000 kilowatts.
In terms of gas turbines, China has mastered key core technologies such as high-temperature turbine blades, compressors, combustion chambers, and high-temperature coatings, and has realized the transformation of core technologies from scratch. Most of the components can be manufactured in China, and the localization rate has reached 85%. It has successfully independently developed the first Class F 50 MW heavy gas turbine in China, which will achieve stable operation at full load in 2020.
2、 Hydroelectric equipment
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China's large-scale mixed flow, tubular, axial flow and reversible hydropower units have all achieved independent design and manufacturing. The main transformer, governor, power transmission and transformation equipment, lifting equipment and other industrial chains have all been localized. The technology of million kilowatt hydropower units is at the world's leading level. The core technology development of equipment manufacturing and the design and manufacturing of key components of pumped storage power plants have reached the same level abroad, and some fields are at the international leading level.
Domestic enterprises have the ability to independently design and manufacture large complete sets of hydropower equipment. The world's first million kilowatt water turbine generator units on the right bank and left bank of Baihetan were successfully connected to the grid in June 2021, achieving the highest power generation efficiency of 99%. In 2020, the generator motor rotor of the highest head pumped storage unit in China was successfully hoisted, and the first stay ring spiral case of the largest single unit pumped storage unit in China was produced. From 2012 to September 2022, domestic enterprises independently manufactured 62 sets of 300000 kilowatt pumped storage units.
Domestic enterprises have mastered the internationally advanced fluid dynamics analysis technology and hydraulic design method, and the highest efficiency of the designed mixed flow runner has exceeded 95%; The hydraulic turbine model test bed with world advanced level is equipped. In terms of hydraulic test and testing technology, we have developed new technologies such as optical fiber endoscope, digital camera and scanning method testing, and made new progress continuously.
3、 Wind power equipment field
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has been able to independently develop and manufacture megawatt wind power machines and key core large components, and has established an internationally competitive wind power industry system. The level of technical equipment has continued to improve rapidly. Low wind speed, typhoon resistance, ultra-high tower and ultra-high altitude wind power technologies are among the world's leading.
The wind turbine manufacturing industry in China has formed a trend of industrialization. The 13.6 MW offshore units have been successfully launched, and the 6.7 MW onshore units have been successfully hoisted, forming a complete industrial chain of blades, engine rooms, gear boxes, steel structural parts, etc. Large mechanical components such as generator, gearbox, main shaft, pitch yaw bearing and drive motor have been localized, and the reliability of domestic pitch system has been gradually improved. Wind power has ranked first in the world in terms of new installed capacity for consecutive years, becoming the world's largest wind power country.
New technology applications are constantly emerging. New sensing technology represented by laser radar and intelligent technology based on big data analysis make the overall management of wind power more efficient. The self-developed remote management platform "Fengyun" system based on cloud computing and big data has been continuously upgraded, which has comprehensively improved the core competitiveness of the whole industry chain, including wind power equipment design and manufacturing, wind farm establishment, wind farm operation and maintenance. China has also introduced many new personalized technologies in terms of blade design, transmission chain layout, tower structure, control system, etc.
4、 PV equipment field
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China's photovoltaic industry has gone from "three heads out" of raw materials, equipment and market to "many firsts" that now occupy a leading position in the world, becoming a global photovoltaic development and innovation manufacturing base in the whole industry chain. The output of polysilicon and modules has ranked first in the world for 11 and 15 consecutive years, respectively. The cumulative installed capacity in China has increased from 6.5 million kilowatts at the end of 2012 to 358 million kilowatts in September 2022, ranking first in the world for seven consecutive years.
Photovoltaic technology and localization level have been continuously improved. The mass production efficiency of P type PERC battery exceeded 24%, the experimental efficiency of N type TOPCon battery exceeded 26%, and the mass production speed of HJT battery continued to accelerate. From the main manufacturing links of polysilicon, silicon chip, battery and module to raw and auxiliary materials and supporting equipment such as slurry, backplane, photovoltaic support and inverter, China has formed the most complete industrial ecosystem in the world, and the supply chain is basically independent and controllable.
With the application of cold hydrogenation transformation, diamond wire cutting technology, PERC technology, and HJT technology, the conversion efficiency of photovoltaic modules has been constantly breaking through. The industrial chain has benefited from economies of scale, technological dividends, marginal investment costs and other factors, and the average cost per kilowatt hour of photovoltaic power generation in China has decreased by about 70%.
5、 Nuclear power equipment field
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China's nuclear power industry has been actively and orderly developed on the premise of ensuring safety. At present, the installed capacity of nuclear power in operation and the annual power generation of nuclear power in mainland China rank second in the world, and the scale of nuclear power under construction ranks first in the world for many consecutive years. The scale of nuclear power industry has entered the first array in the world, and the level of nuclear power technology has ranked among the top in the world.
The "Hualong No.1" domestic and international first reactor and Shidao Bay high temperature gas cooled reactor nuclear power plant demonstration projects have been put into commercial operation. The construction of the "Guohe No.1" demonstration project, a major science and technology project for large advanced pressurized water reactor, has progressed smoothly. The construction of demonstration fast reactor units 1 and 2 has been started successively in 2017 and 2020. The construction of the "Linglong No.1" demonstration project for multi-functional modular small reactor has been started. The research and development of small onshore pressurized water reactor and marine nuclear power platform has continued, The construction of liquid fuel thorium based molten salt experimental reactor is progressing steadily, and important progress has been made in the research and development of lead based fast reactor. In terms of fusion reactor research and development, the world's first fully superconducting large Tokamak device, the Eastern Supercycle (EAST.
The level of nuclear power equipment manufacturing capacity continued to improve. Through independent research and development and localization, China has fully mastered the manufacturing technology of key equipment and materials such as reactor pressure vessels, steam generators, reactor internals, control rod drive mechanisms, main pipes, digital I&C systems, nuclear grade welding materials, nuclear grade seals, etc., and has formed the manufacturing capacity of about 10 sets/set of megawatt PWR main equipment each year. The comprehensive localization rate of independent third-generation nuclear power has reached more than 90%.
Ten years have made a brilliant road and forged a new chapter. The power generation equipment manufacturing industry will continue to innovate, anchor the "dual carbon" goal, step by step, establish first and then break, work hard and forge ahead, and make great contributions to accelerating China's green and low-carbon energy transformation, and to the sustainable development of global energy.
