According to the Anadolo News on September 25, the French green hydrogen producer Lhyfe announced on Thursday that the company had held the inauguration ceremony of the world's first offshore pilot plant to produce green hydrogen on the western coast of France.
According to the announcement, the platform will enter the 18 month testing phase, where initial reference data will be collected and equipment will be tested.
The electricity generated by the floating wind turbines will provide power for the pilot project, generating up to 400 kg of renewable hydrogen per day.
The statement said: "Lhyfe will have a large amount of data, which will enable it to design mature offshore production systems and deploy reliable and proven technologies on a large scale to meet the EU's goal of producing 10 million tons of renewable hydrogen annually by 2030."
