Research and deployment will further strengthen the safety and quality of nuclear power and mobilize for a new round of actions to improve the safety and quality of nuclear power industry.
It was pointed out that through more than 30 years of efforts, nuclear power in China has grown from scratch to large and achieved independent design, manufacturing, construction and operation. Especially since the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC, the scale and quality of nuclear power development has stepped up to a new level, and the capability level of technology, equipment, construction and operation has ranked among the international advanced ranks and entered a new stage of active, safe and orderly development. Safety is the lifeline of nuclear power and the precondition and foundation for its development. Since the first phase of grid-connected power generation in Qinshan, nuclear power in China has maintained a good safety record and formed an effective safety management system. With the growth of nuclear power scale in China and the increase of responsibility and pressure for ensuring nuclear power safety, safety and quality management must be further strengthened to meet and keep up with the requirements of nuclear power development in terms of safety awareness, technical ability and management level.
Safety first and quality first should be adhered to, and the most stringent standards for planning and approval, construction of the highest-quality projects, the most stringent requirements for operation management, and the most stringent measures for strengthening supervision should be taken to ensure absolute safety and safe operation of nuclear power projects.
