On November 11, 2022, Luo Junjie, Executive Vice President of China Machinery Federation, visited Ouyang Minggao, member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, academician of the CAS Member and professor of Tsinghua University in Tsinghua Science Park. The two sides exchanged views on the cooperation of the World Hydrogen Technology Conference (WHTC23). Heads of relevant departments of China Machinery Federation and China Electrotechnical Society accompanied the visit.

Luo Junjie introduced the relevant situation and recent work deployment since the change of China Machinery Federation. He said that Academician Ouyang is the academic authority in the field of hydrogen energy technology in China and the director of the technical committee of the conference. China Machinery Federation hopes to work with Academician Ouyang to inject strength into the conference and the development of China's hydrogen energy industry. Relevant comrades introduced the preparations for the conference approval, organizational structure construction, scheme design, publicity and promotion, and briefly introduced the next work plan.

Academician Ouyang first welcomed the visit of Luo Junjie, Executive Vice President and his delegation, and said that the promotion of the dual carbon strategy provides a good opportunity for the development of domestic hydrogen energy industry. The domestic hydrogen energy industry has advantages such as market scale, policy environment, and great development potential. However, the development of emerging industries needs to fully mobilize various resources and pool their wisdom. The hydrogen energy technology conference has a good time, theme and prospect. A successful conference will vigorously promote the development of China's hydrogen energy industry.

The two sides agreed to work together in such areas as the organization of the conference, the selection of experts, and the promotion of the conference to jointly hold the conference.
