On August 31, the first plain wind power project in inland area of Guangxi - high-speed wind power transmission project in Chentang District, was held in Sanli Town, Chentang District, Guigang City, marking the first plain wind power project in inland area of Guangxi has been put into operation. Zhu Lihai, Director of Guigang Major Project Management Center, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Standing Committee of Tongtang District Committee, Minister of Publicity Department and Vice District Chief Yang Bingbing attended the ceremony.

It is understood that the project is divided into two phases, and the first phase is used for this commissioning. Phase I project has a total investment of 500 million yuan, a total capacity of 60 MW and an area of 27 mu. 18 wind power generators are built in support. One 220 kV boost confluence station is newly built and connected to other new energy projects around the project. The integrated transmission capacity reaches 450 MW. It is one of the few clean energy power generation projects in Guangxi that integrate wind power and photovoltaic power.
High-speed wind power generation project in Futang District
Zhu Yongjing, project manager, said that Phase I of the project was started on November 9, 2021 and grid-connected power generation was realized on August 31, 2022. After grid-connected power generation, annual sales are expected to reach 60 million yuan. The project focuses on the concept of green development, implements the two-carbon strategy, makes full use of wasteland, unclaimed land, ditches and other land, and minimizes the area of cultivated land occupied. After all the projects have been completed for power generation, it is estimated that more than 30,000 tons of standard coal can be saved and nearly 100,000 tons of carbon dioxide can be reduced annually.
Since this year, Xiantang District has implemented the important requirements of the CPC Central Committee that epidemics should be prevented, economy should be stabilized and development should be safe. It has firmly established the development concept of "project is king", effectively coordinated epidemic prevention and control, economic and social development, overall development and safety, focused on industrial revitalization, vigorously promoted green and low-carbon development, and fully promoted stable and sound economic operation of Xiantang District. The project took only 10 months from formal start-up to grid-connected generation, creating the fastest speed of wind power construction in the inland area of Guangxi. Successful grid-connected power generation of the project adds a new power source and provides strong power support to the area, which will play an active role in promoting high-quality economic and social development of Xiantang.
